Service Department Manager (Retail) (JB359)

R8 000 – R12 000 CTC per Month



Food retail store franchise requires an experienced Service Department Manager/ Assistant Store Manager to effectively plan, control and monitor the performance of the service departments (Bakery, Butchery etc) to ensure that they operate at an optimal level.


Responsibilities of Retail Service Department Manager :

Manage Department targets and profitability of all service departments

Manage Stock

Pricing and POS

Manage Service Department Promotions

Ensure that strict Hygiene & Housekeeping standards are maintained at all times

Manage staff (Recruitment; day to day management, IR etc)

Ensure that Service Excellence is maintained at all times

Open and close the store


Requirements of Retail Service Department Manager:

4+ years’ experience in all aspects of day-to-day running and managing of a Service Department specific to food retail outlets

Ms Office suite and other ERP systems

Industrial Relations/ HR experience

Grade 12

Tertiary Qualification in Fresh food management or Hygiene/ Health and Safety preferred

Prepared to work long hours
