University of Toronto Robotics Association (UTRA), Toronto, ON

Mechanical Subsystem Leader, May 2016 – April 2017

·      Taught SolidWorks tutorials related to parts and assembly modeling for manufacturing processes, such as welding and sheet metal along with creation of standard manufacturing drawings for a group of 40 students involved in the university club

·      Supervised 40 students in the club tool room helping them receive hands-on manufacturing experience on the mechanical equipment, such as drill press and saws; helped in writing the C-based programming code

·      Presented technical documentation along with PowerPoint presentations for project managers and students

·      Awarded for winning the 1st place at the Sumo Bot competition for the best performance and design of the rover

 

Mold-Masters Ltd. (Milacron), Georgetown, ON

Configuration Engineering Intern, September 2015 – September 2016

·      Created final assembly CAD models and related standard manufacturing drawings with proper GD&T callouts and BOMs for various components of the injection molding machine, including hydraulics and fluids, using ProE and I-DEAS software embedded with Windchill product lifecycle management program

·      Checked for possible issues, plotted, and processed to manufacturing facility custom engineering drawings on a daily basis, making sure CNC programmers and operators are receiving correct jobs

·      Issued detailed reports and guidelines of CAD model procedures based on SAP information for the engineering department to use; participated in weekly department meetings between Europe and Asia

·      Evaluated as an excellent employee from the department supervisor upon completion of internship

Mechanical Team Member, September 2016 – April 2017

·      Analyzed and designed mechanical components of the semi-automatic gear shifting mechanism in SolidWorks and AutoCAD using FEA tools

·      Machined on the lathe and milling machine all seven relevant to assembly parts

·      Awarded 83/100 marks on the performance, efficiency, control criteria, and satisfaction from the client and supervisor
