1. Experience migrating from Exadata physical to Exadata Cloud @ Customer.

2. Experience documenting Oracle database build standards for a compliance program such as ISM/CIS/etc

Primary Skills:

– Install, Upgrade, Patching and Configuring Oracle Database
– Database backup, recovery, cloning and refreshes
– Performance Monitoring and Performance Tuning
– Experience in supporting production high-availability Oracle Database and RAC environment
– In depth knowledge on OEM in installing the OEM, agents, monitoring, setting alerts and generating reports
– Proficient in capturing AWR reports, analyzing them and making performance improvement recommendations
– Working knowledge in EXADATA
– Good knowledge on ORACLE DATAGUARD, RMAN backup
– Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in timely and accurate manner

Secondary Skills:

– Knowledge on SQL database administration
– Guide/mentor SQL DBA team on Oracle DB related tasks
– Good Knowledge on Shell scripting
– Create and maintain documentation for various changes, and upgrades
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in timely and accurate manner with RCA
– Good oral & written communication skills
– Experience in Support & Enhancements projects is preferred
– Flexible to work in shifts (8-5 & 12-10)
– Should have experience in leading a team in production support & development environment
– Identify improvement areas & provide solutions for the same
– Independently work on the tasks and delegate tasks based on priority
– Coordinate with client on task prioritization
– Handle customers at client location and manage escalation effectively
– Provide regular updates on the tasks owned or assigned
– Effectively communicate with client
– Ensure all activities assigned to the team are completed on time without defects
– Should be aware of ITIL concepts and able to implement wherever applicable
– Should be able to prepare reports and presentations for client update
– Ability to drive the team to make sure all KPI/SLA are met
