Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is a family owned and operated registered not for profit charitable organization that serves people with disAbilities. Founded in 1989, today is considered one of Calgary’s premier service providers supporting people with disAbilities at work, at home, and in the community.

CPLF is currently seeking a Residential Support Worker to open their home for a person with a disAbility to live in. The Residential Support Worker will provide mentorship, safety, and offer support in daily living skills.

Client Description:

The CPLF client that needs support is a semi-independent young adult male with Opposition Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), with an intellectual disability do due the Opposition Defiant Disorder and this client has had aggressive behaviours in the past and often does not do well with young children in the home. The individual does smoke cigarettes and marijuana outside only. He has had a job in the past as a labourer at a local retail outlet and also takes city transit independently. This gentleman likes his own space and is requesting a basement with a living area, bedroom, bathroom, internet and basic cable TV. Kitchen in basement would be nice but not necessary.

Other Benefits:

• This individual also has CPLF staff to support him everyday from 9am – 9pm. During the transition to your home until the client is stable we request that the applicant remain at home from 9am – 3pm Monday through Friday on call at the home in case there is an incident.

• The $4,450.00/mth includes $650 in Room and Board with all compensation being tax free!

• There are 4 days per month the individual is not in the home. • CPLF will offer Residential Support Staff access to our Complex Needs Coordinator, Case Manager, Support Staff, our in-house Psychologist, and subsidized training.

• Candidates must have clean police clearance.
